McCauley Propeller – A Committed and Renowned Source to Procure Best-in-class Propeller Systems

How McCauley Propeller Starts its Manufacture:

McCauley Propeller is an aerospace company that was founded in 1938 by Ernest G. McCauley. Earnest held many patents on controllable propellers and led the way in the emerging industry of aviation. It is currently headquartered in Wichita, Kansa, although it was originally headquartered in Vandalia, Ohio. McCauley Propeller services both home built and ultra light aircraft and specializes in aircraft propellers. The company name was originally McCauley Aviation Corporation until 2006 when it was renamed McCauley Propeller Systems. It is owned by Cessna, which is in turn owned by Textron, an American conglomerate that includes such companies as Bell Helicopter, Cessna, and Jacobsen. Cessna acquired McCauley Propeller back in 1960.

McCauley Propeller is perhaps most noted for inventing the ground adjustable solid-steel propeller in 1941 and also the forged aluminum propeller in 1946. During World War II, the company manufactured over 20,000 solid steel propellers. It also produced five-blade turbo props in 1987 and the STC propeller shortly thereafter. The company has grown to become one of the largest propeller manufacturers in the world, with over 500 models available. They are the OEMs and are FAA certified for companies like Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna, Fairchild, Grumman, Piper aircraft and others, which use their parts to build their aircraft. In addition to propellers, the company also offers governors, spinners, and aircraft de-icing systems. Their types of propellers include fixed pitch, constant speed, and full-feathering propellers. Governors, which are mechanical devices used to sense speed of a motive device, are offered as constant speed-unhampered and dampened, and feathering options. McCauley has also expanded business into the UAV market (unmanned aerial vehicles) relatively recently.
