In 2000, Hamilton Sundstrand contracted ELDEC for its power management equipment. This was a significant contract win for ELDEC. Hamilton Sundstrand integrated ELDEC’s technologies onto high-profile platforms such as the Embraer ERJ-170, Embraer ERJ-190, Fairchild Dornier 728JET, and Fairchild Dornier 928JET regional jetliners. ELDEC’s long-standing partnership with Hamilton Sundstrand also includes being under contract for the battery system and DC-DC converter for the US Amy’s Comanche RAH-66 reconnaissance and attack helicopter program. In 2006, the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft division awarded ELDEC Corporation a US$6.7 million fixed-fee contract for the design and development of three installation kits for a C-130 Real-Time Weight and Balance System. The kits will cut costs associated with man-hours and program delays. They also speed up the deployment of aircraft and improves flight safety.
