Innovative Solution Aircraft Cabin Interior Designs:

Dasell Cabin Interior GmbH, based in Hamburg, was acquired by the Diehl group, based in Nuremberg, from Airbus in 2010. Dasell Cabin Interior GmbH was a supplier for aircraft cabin elements and will now be integrated into the corporate division Diehl Aerosystems. Diehl is one of the market leaders in cabin interior and with the acquisition of Dasell; they are hoping to secure the global leader spot in aviation cabin interiors. Diehl develops and manufactures lavatory units for the convenience of the passengers, but they also make luxury bathrooms for the higher class passengers. Passengers who fly first class on the Emirates A380 are lucky enough to have the comfort of two spacious bathrooms. These bathrooms are unlike most you see as it has a shower and room for you to change clothing comfortably.

Just some of the features that this bathroom includes are: marble sink, illuminated mirror, movable magnifying mirror and a counter top with space for perfume, cologne, or any other accessories you might bring with you. There is even a hair dryer and an under floor heating unit. With that being said, this also benefits the everyday traveler because Diehl has increase the level of their quality in their other products as well. The washrooms that Diehl designs are all standardized, yet completely customizable with a plethora of accessories for the airplane manufacturer to choose. Dasell was most well-known for their design and development of the aircraft lavatories and washrooms. Dasell Cabin Interior still plans on setting up a partnership with Satair, giving Satair exclusive rights to distributorship and support of their products in Asia Pacific. Dasell supplies all the lavatories and washrooms for the entire Airbus family that are currently in operation. Other parts that Dasell manufactures for Airbus include shower cabins, washrooms, urinals, changing rooms, on-board stowage units, and other accessories.
