History About Dassault Group Manufacturers:

Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation, otherwise known as the Dassault Aviation Group, is a French aircraft manufacturing company. A subsidiary of Dassault Group, Dassault Aviation Group makes jets, both for military and business applications. Founded in 1929 by Marcel Dassault, Dassault Aviation Group is the only aviation group bearing the founding family name and is still owned by the founder’s family. Dassault Aviation is a globally renowned company, with a commercial presence in over 80 countries as of 2012. Dassault specializes manufacturer in aeronautics, space activities, services, and aerospace & Defense systems. Though Dassault has a foothold in so many fields, their main line of activity is still exporting business jets. They held a total of 29% of market share in business jets in 2012.

Dassault’s Aeronautics division accounted for a majority of the corporation’s activity. Business jets in particular accounted for 71% of the entire group’s activity in 2012. There are almost 2,000 Dassault Falcon Jets operating worldwide, with a total of over 15 million flying hours between the fleet. In 2012 alone, Dassault Aviation cranked out 66 Falcon Jets, making it the third company in the world, holding over a quarter of the market share. Their major competitors in this division are Bombardier and Gulfstream Aerospace. Dassault also manufactures military aircraft used in various countries. They have 3 main products that are used in around 20 countries worldwide: the Mirage 2000, the Rafale, and the neuron. The Mirage 2000 is a French multirole, single-engine fourth-generation jet fighter used in nine air forces globally. The Rafale is a multirole, twin-engine, canard delta-wing fighter aircraft designed to land on an aircraft carrier. Around 100 Rafales are in service in the French Armed Forces. The neuron is an experimental stealth UCAV being developed by Dassault Aviation Group.

Dassault Aviation Group also has an Aerospace and Defense Systems division, otherwise known as Sogitec Industries. Sogitec industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation that designs and manufactures advanced avionics simulation, military flight simulators, 3D imaging, as well as document imaging systems. All of these systems are centered on these technologies: innovative optical image presentation systems, image generation systems and command of geographic databases, use of PLM data and improvement of tools for developing and using technical documentation, and distributed simulation architectures. Sogitec only employs about 450 staff members and is located in France.
